A debt management plan is an agreement between you and your creditors (those you owe money to). You can pay one monthly amount that is distributed equally amongst your creditors
An IVA is a legally binding agreement that you reach with your creditors. You agree to pay back a certain amount of money over a certain period of time. This period of time will be defined in the IVA agreement.
You can be made bankrupt by someone else if you owe more than £750 and that debt is not disputed or, you can make yourself bankrupt.
